About Us

The Rotary International Fellowship Costa Blanca North was formed in 1986 to bring together past and present Rotarians, and members of other Rotary associated clubs together with their partners. Meetings take place in Moraira, Spain and are conducted in English. However, we have quite an International membership with Rotarians from other European countries and worldwide.

Why not come and join us for lunch on Fridays? Meetings follow the Rotary format. We engage in fund raising, supporting both local and international causes, and welcome both resident, non-resident and visiting international members from other countries both in Europe and around the world.        Read More.

Funds are raised by the members from the members

Our meetings will not restart until at least January 2021next Committee review Mid December.

Our Treasurers new look. Bob was visited by the Protection Civil during Lock-Down so that a donation from the Rotary Fellowship of 500 euros could be passed to the Benitachell Town Hall for their Food Bank, this was topped up by a couple of private donations to a total of 600 euros.

The donation was agreed by the Committee and supported generally by the membership by some very positive emails. Bob received a further telephone call from the Town Hall giving their thanks. Well done members of the Rotary Fellowship. We continue to do good work even during Lock-Down!

While we all have been in Lock-down, we as a Fellowship have been trying to continue to help the needy although it has not been possible to ask the agreement of all the Fellowship members in these unusual times, I do hope that you will approve of the donations that we have discussed and approved in Committee by email

Donation to Ripple Africa

We had a request for help as they are in urgent needs of funds to assist with:-

Distribution of Leaflets in Malawi to explain about Corona Virus and the need to wash hands. Repair over 200 boreholes and purchasing buckets and soap.  We have sent £200 in sterling as they can then claim Gift Aid so they will receive a total of £253:11

The Franciscan Hospice and Refuge

We have Donated 500é as they are in desperate need of funds as due to the lock-down there normal donations from the Charity Shop & Library in Javea are closed and unable to raise funds to support them. The Refuge provides residential care and nursing care for around 50 homeless and ill men who have no other means of support. They receive no State Aid or any Official help so the Brothers rely totally on Charity and Providence. At the moment they are desperate for food, cleaning and personal hygiene products such as toilet paper and shower gel, I do hope that you will agree that these were worthwhile causes to support. I am always looking for causes to support or help on behalf of the Fellowship, if anyone is aware of any need please let myself know.

Keep safe and well Regards Stuart Badman. Charity Officer
